EMPOWERMENT

“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” – A proverb

At EEE, we believe in creating self-sufficient individuals by giving the right means to be physically, mentally and emotionally empowered. We aim to do this though honing the already existing skills and talents in the individual.

We aim to empower the children here with the necessary skills and tools to help them become capable independent adults. They are the future – the future of these mountains, their families and these communities. Globally we see a return to a more spiritual, simpler and a more organic way of life – that has been practiced here for centuries and continues to this day. It is our responsibility to help preserve it.

The activities we do here are with an intention to prepare them for life, for potential failures and to reinforce the idea that they are the masters of their own destiny and they can achieve their goals in life through hard work, dedication and right values.

We are also reaching out to skill development organisations to collaborate with them to train women and children in the area to create more opportunities for them locally.

Some of our focus areas in the area of Empowerment are:

  • Providing a platform to kids to enhance their skills
  • English speaking classes to develop communication skills
  • Activities aimed at overall personality development through group activities, games, guest lectures, cultural events etc.
  • Sponsoring school education for economically weaker children
  • Tuition classes after school hours offered by senior students
  • Satsang, Pujas and other spiritual activities to inculcate moral and ethical values
